I was introduced to Giovanna Santoni in 2021 by a former colleague of hers. I was impressed by the quality of her work and recruited her to work on the 5th edition of The Pituitary. Over the next few months, she collaborated with me and my co-authors to design, refine, and produce a set of highly original figures depicting hypothalamic and pituitary regulation of the different hormones, as well as a set of detailed illustrations depicting pituitary different neurosurgical techniques.
